The Contractor will provide all labour, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete the work as described in the Information to Bidders
EXTENT OF WORK:
In accordance with the Information to Bidders and Form of Quotation, the work is divided into five categories 1. 20 metre wide right-of-way This category shall include all roads measuring up to and including 20 metres from fence to fence.
2. 26 metre wide right-of-way This category shall include all roads measuring over 20 metres and up to 26 metres from fence to fence.
3. 30 metre wide right-of-way This category shall include all roads measuring over 26 metres and up to 30 metres from fence to fence.
4. 36 metre wide right-of-way This category shall include all roads measuring over 30 metres and up to 36 metres from fence to fence.
5. 40 metre wide right-of-way This category shall include all roads measuring over 40 metres from fence.
In a few locations (bridge sites, curves, intersections, etc.) the right-of-way exceeds the stated width from fence to fence. No extra payment will be allowed beyond the stated right-of-way unit price bid in the Form of Quotation for these extra widths.
The area to be sprayed in each category shall be from the edge of the gravel shoulder (edge of sod) extending to the fence line (limit of right-of-way) on both sides of the road and shall include both mowed and un-mowed areas of the roadside, taking care to avoid spray sensitive adjacent landowner plantings. No spray is to be applied in Towns, Villages, Hamlets or tobacco crop lands or in areas that have been signed “NO SPRAYING”.
